The Future Coasts programme represents a multi-million dollar investment by the Victorian Government in Australia to consider climate change hazards and adaption options along the Victorian coast. As part of the project the DSE will be working with coastal managers and planning authorities to better understand the impacts of sea level rise and extreme storm events in highly vulnerable areas.
In particular Richard will provide expert advice including helping scope coastal modelling and coastal vulnerability assessments along the Victorian coastline. Richard is well suited to this role, having extensive national and international experience on coastal related projects that call for innovative solutions, technical challenges and wide stakeholder involvement.
“T&T is delighted that Richard has been appointed to this high profile project. He is at the forefront of coastal engineering expertise and has over 20 years experience in coastal processes, coastal hazard assessment, coastal management and the design of coastal structures” said Peter Millar, T&T’s Managing Director.
