Each year T&T sponsors Oxfam New Zealand’s annual Nihotupu Tramline Walk in West Auckland. This year the event celebrated its 21st Anniversary on Sunday 22 November. Around one thousand adults and children turned out to enjoy the stunning 6 km walk through Auckland’s Waitakere Ranges.

The walk follows part of the ‘Rainforest Express’ tramline from the Upper Nihotupu Dam, including six tunnels, and is a major fundraising event for Oxfam’s Water for Survival programme. T&T is a dedicated supporter and Foundation Member of Water for Survival. This year the walk raised over $12,000. This money will be used to assist Oxfam's water sanitation projects throughout the Pacific.
Peter Millar, T&T’s Managing Director, along with approximately 45 T&T staff and family members, attended the event on the 22nd. “We thoroughly enjoyed the tramline walk and it’s great to be able to support Oxfam as they continue their efforts to help overcome poverty through water specific projects,” he said.
