“Concise, readable reports are essential in our industry,” says Tonkin & Taylor Managing Director NZ, Doug Johnson. T&T sponsors the annual Best Practical Work Report award in conjunction with the Association of Consulting Engineers NZ (ACENZ).
The judging panel assessed a record number of entries from fourth year Bachelor of Engineering Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Biochemical students attending Auckland, Canterbury and Waikato Universities. The standard was high with comments from the judges such as “this report flowed, giving the reader a sense of wanting to continue” and “gave the reader a sense of trust and respect”.
Tonkin & Taylor congratulates the three winners on behalf of the judges. Winners received a cash prize and framed certificate presented at the ACENZ awards evening in August.
This year’s winners are:
Nick Borren - University of Canterbury
Richard Gray - University of Canterbury
Stephanie Miller - University of Auckland
