Our integrated environmental and engineering approach supported by a strong multi-disciplinary team has led to Tonkin & Taylor being commissioned for a range of hazardous substance/waste management projects in New Zealand.

- Participation in the preparation of the initial set of HSNO Regulations
- Undertaking HSNO investigation (including a P lab) and compliance activities under contract to the Department of Labour in Tauranga City and Western Bay of Plenty District
- Risk assessment of potential air emissions and installation of vapour barrier and vapour extraction system to protect a supermarket from the emissions from a chlorinated organic solvent contaminated groundwater plume
- Assessment of environmental effects of bulk storage of aviation fuel and pesticides for helicopter operations
- Review of hazardous substances inventories and identification of relevant controls and timeframes for compliance for a range of construction products manufacturers
