Resource Management Planning Services

Tonkin & Taylor provide a full range of resource management planning services for both Local and Central Government and the private sector, on a nationwide basis. We work closely with clients, legal advisors, Council officers and a range of other stakeholders.

Our planning team is part of our larger environmental team which consists of a wide range of experienced professionals, including environmental scientists, ecologists, geologists, hydrologists and chemical and civil engineers and environmental managers.

Our services include:

  • Preparing and managing AEE’s and resource consent applications to both regional and district council’s (often involving managing input from various other in-house and external experts)
  • Working with architects and developers on residential, commercial and industrial developments
  • Provision of resource management, planning and technical advice
  • Regular monitoring and assessment of Policy Statements and District/Regional Plans, legislation and notified resource consents of interest to clients
  • Preparation and lodging of submissions and appeals
  • Assessment of projects against statutory documents
  • Contaminated site investigation and remediation
  • Preparation and presentation of expert resource management evidence at Council and Environmental Court hearings
  • Groundwater and surface water resources development
  • Stormwater management
  • Solid waste management
  • Air quality investigation
  • Designation and Environmental Management Plans for roading projects.
