Each year Tonkin & Taylor award scholarships and prizes to students who have demonstrated considerable academic achievement in their studies and who also contribute to the communities they live in.

“The scholarships and prizes we provide to students are part of our wider contribution to the engineering profession in New Zealand, and recognise the diverse talents of our young engineers and environmental scientists ” says Doug Johnson, T&T’s Managing Director.

T&T has been involved with the Engineering schools at both Auckland and Canterbury Universities for the last 15 years. The scholarships encourage academic excellence and are awarded to students who show potential in the field of engineering as well as displaying other qualities such as communication skills, achievements in the arts and sporting and community activities.
