John Grimston manages our Philippines company following on from 14 years as Manager of the Water Resources Group in Auckland. John is responsible for project development in implementation in the Philippines and throughout South East Asia and Australia. He is a Director of Tonkin & Taylor and is a Chatered Professional Engineer in both New Zealand and Australia.

John’s project work has centred on water resources, particularly dams, hydro power and water supply throughout the Philippines, Australia, Malaysia, Nepal, Samoa and New Zealand and includes both technical specialist and design and construction team management roles.

Key projects include Project Aqua hydro power pre and feasibility studies in New Zealand, construction project management of the 42 MW Sibulan hydro power project in Philippines, deputy project manager for the design and construction phases of the 50 m high Opuha dam in New Zealand and lead safety reviewer and team leader for several major high hazard dams in a number of countries.
