BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Peter Millar

Peter is the Business Development Manager for New Zealand and Australia.  Peter has a Masters in Civil Engineering (First Class), is a Fellow of IPENZ, is a Chartered Professional Engineer in New Zealand and has international registration (Int PE).

Peter is responsible for development of major project opportunities throughout Australasia.  He is currently on the Alliance Board for the Newmarket Viaduct Project and was previously on the Board for the Northern Gateway Alliance (SH1) which traverses difficult and environmentally sensitive terrain and includes tunnels, eco-viaducts, high cuts and bridges.  He has recently managed design components for the Hewletts Rd Project in Tauranga, Mercer to Long Swamp Expressway, Wairau Peninsular links to SH1, PJK Expressway and is presently involved with the specimen design for the duplication of the Mangere Bridge. He has also undertaken investigations and design for major sections of the N-S Expressway and federal highway systems in Malaysia. His inputs have included geotechnical consulting, pavement design and vibration assessments.

Peter has also been involved in investigation and design for foundations and retention for many major building projects. These include foundation engineer for NZ Museum Te Papa Tongarewa, NZ Parliament Buildings seismic upgrade, the Metropolis, Vero, Chancery Square, 12 buildings in the viaduct basin, Princes Wharf re-development, Vector Arena and the surrounding buildings, as well as many multi-storey apartments.

He has been involved with many other projects including the Vector cable tunnel, Rangipo underground power project and a number of other large earth dams, embankments and cut stabilisation works. He also provides specialist ground vibration advice for quarries and blasting operations.
