MANAGING DIRECTOR - T&T INTERNATIONAL
Tony Kortegast

Tony is the Managing Director of Tonkin & Taylor Group’s International operation.  With a BSc (Geology), B.E. (Honours) Civil and Master of Environmental Engineering Science (UNSW), Tony is also a chartered professional engineer in New Zealand and on the international professional engineer’s register and is a fellow of the Institute of Professional Engineers.

With more than 30 years experience in geotechnical, solid waste and heavy civil engineering, his work has covered the whole range of project inputs from concept development, to public and consent processes, and detailed design and construction management. Tony has work experience in over a dozen countries he has provided specialist services to public and private sector clients as well as Asian Development Bank, World Bank, UNCHS (Habitat), UNDP, NZMfE and NZ Aid.  Tony has directed many high profile infrastructure and solid waste projects including the Redvale, Whitford, Omaranui, Kate Valley and Silverstream landfill developments, and has provided strategic advice to projects throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Tony’s extensive international project experience, together with his engineering design management and reporting skills is used to support and manage the Tonkin & Taylor Group’s operations throughout the Pacific, Australia and Asia through its network of regional offices and associate businesses.
