Transwaste Canterbury present special Award to T&T for the Kate Valley Landfill!
Tonkin & Taylor is thrilled to have received a special Award from Transwaste Canterbury recently! The Award was presented to T&T in appreciation of their innovative design and ongoing work at the Kate Valley Landfill in North Canterbury.
Mr John Duder, former Director of Tonkin & Taylor, was awarded a ‘Spirit of Telford Award’ at an Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Awards Ceremony held in Auckland on 22 September.
Northern Gateway Alliance wins Environmental Award for the SH1 Northern Motorway Extension project!
The Northern Gateway Alliance (NGA) recently won an Environmental Excellence Award for the SH1 Northern Motorway extension project. The NGA picked up the supreme environmental award at the NZ Contractors Federation Conference held in August. The project won the award in the category for projects greater than NZ$10 million in value.
Official 'Ground Breaking' Ceremony held for Sibulan Hydropower Project in the Philippines!
EDCOP and Tonkin & Taylor International (T&TI), both part of the Tonkin & Taylor Group of Companies, were delighted to be part of the official ‘Ground Breaking’ Ceremony for the Sibulan Hydropower Project. The Ceremony was held in Mindanao in the Philippines on Friday 7 September.

Tonkin & Taylor is pleased to announce their decision to join Oxfam New Zealand’s ‘Water for Survival Programme’ as a Foundation Member. By becoming Foundation Members and providing support to the Water for Survival programme, T&T will directly help bring life saving, clean drinking water to some of the world’s poorest communities within the Pacific and South East Asia.

This year Workchoice Day was held on Tuesday 15 May. The aim of Workchoice Day is to provide students with a chance to visit workplaces and gather information about different professions they’re interested in. Workchoice Day is organised by The Workchoice Trust (a not-for-profit organisation) and is held annually throughout New Zealand.
