Each year T&T sponsors Oxfam New Zealand’s annual Nihotupu Tramline Walk in West Auckland. This year the event celebrated its 21st Anniversary on Sunday 22 November. Around one thousand adults and children turned out to enjoy the stunning 6 km walk through Auckland’s Waitakere Ranges.

Hayden Bowden graduated with a ME (Dist) and a BE (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Canterbury and joined T&T’s Christchurch office in September 2007 as a Geotechnical Engineer. Hayden’s particular areas of interest included geotechnical engineering, earthquake engineering and numerical modelling.
After finishing an Environmental Engineering degree at the University of Auckland, graduate Rory Lemon wasn’t sure what field she wanted to get into. When Rory commenced working in T&T's Auckland office in December 2007 she was offered a role in the Landfill team. She decided to take the job and see how things worked out.

The company has certainly come a long way since two engineers, working at different ends of the Auckland Harbour Bridge in 1959, decided to combine their expertise, experience and entrepreneurial skills to form Tonkin & Taylor.
