Amy Macdonald enjoying life at T&T!

Amy Macdonald joined the Geotechnical Group at T&T as a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer, after graduating from the University of Canterbury in 2006.

Pictured: Just like Amy did, kick start your career with T&T! Apply on-line now! Applications close on Thursday 22 May.

Since then Amy has been involved in a variety of projects around New Zealand including geotechnical investigations for land development, foundations, bridges, landslip investigation and remediation.  She has gained experience in a range of different project stages from proposal of works and site investigation to analysis, reporting and management.

“One of the jobs I have been involved with included an initial site inspection for a landslip on a cliff top property in Auckland.  Since then I have been involved in a full geotechnical investigation at the site, slope modelling, retaining wall design, construction inspections and liaison with the associated contractors.  The responsibility which comes with running your own jobs is challenging but extremely rewarding and there are always senior engineers in the office to guide you with their time, knowledge and experience.

T&T has a vibrant social scene with a variety of social sports teams and activities run by the social club.  These events, along with the monthly staff briefings where you get to catch up informally with your work mates, are great for getting to know other people (young and old) and help create a strong and friendly culture.”

For more information about working at T&T visit us at either the Auckland or Canterbury University Career Fairs.  We’ll be at the School of Engineering at Auckland Uni on 22 April and at Canterbury Uni on 15 May.

Applications for Graduate positions at T&T run through until 22 May.
Apply on-line now!
