Oxfam NZ Acknowledge T&T’s Ongoing Support!

T&T was acknowledged recently by Oxfam NZ as a significant contributor to their cause!  Malcolm Sproull, Oxfam NZ’s Marketing Relationship Manager, awarded a special Certificate acknowledging T&T’s ongoing support on Wednesday 11 June.

Pictured: Malcolm Sproull, Oxfam NZ's Marketing Relationship Manager, presents a Certificate acknowledging T&T's ongoing support to T&T Communications Advisor, Pip Hair.

T&T has contributed to Oxfam NZ over many years and continues to support a number of initiatives.  One area T&T is involved in is support of Oxfam’s Water for Survival programme.  In particular T&T is one of the major sponsors of the ‘Nihotupu Tramline Walk’ held each year in Auckland to raise money for Water for Survival.  This year the walk was held on Sunday 9 March and more than $10,000 was raised for water related projects in developing Pacific countries.

Another way T&T makes a positive difference is by supporting Oxfam’s Fair Trade Coffee scheme.  By ensuring that all its coffee is purchased through the Fair Trade market T&T helps guarantee Third World producers a fair price for their produce whilst also helping establish longer term, more direct trading relationships.

T&T and Oxfam NZ are currently discussing other opportunities where the two organisations can work more closely together, especially in relation to water related projects in the Pacific.

For more information please contact Pip Hair.
