Grant Pearce
Grant is a Port and Coastal Engineer who joined Tonkin & Taylor in 1991. He has more than 24 years experience in port and coastal engineering covering all aspects from feasibility studies to detailed design and construction supervision.

Grant is currently looking after the maintenance of 8 wharves for Auckland City on the Hauraki Gulf Islands and recently completed design work on Tui Glen Whaf, and Helensville wharf in the Auckland area, and the Pitcairn Island jetty project on Pitcairn Island. He was also lead design engineer on the upgrade of the 270m long reinforced concrete Starkist wharf in American Samoa and recently completed a feasibility study for a major port development for the Port of Suva involving in excess of 40 hectares of reclamation, 800 m of heavy duty wharf berthage and 250 m of fishing boat berthage.

Other recent projects include design of the breakwater and dredging for Orakei Marina, 11 km of shore protection works on the south-east road on Upolu Samoa, seawalls and breakwater for Tutukaka Marina extensions, rock breakwaters at Kawakawa Bay and Kennedy Point, and design of the 120 m long Fuel Dock wharf in Pago Pago, American Samoa.
