SH20. Design/build motorway contract including a grade separated motorway / motorway interchange and grade separated on / off ramps. Construction Value $19 million. Keith’s role – Road Design Reviewer.
PJK. Motorway contract including a grade separated motorway / motorway interchange and grade separated on / off ramps. Construction Value $91 million. Keith’s role – Road Design Reviewer for elements redesigned by the contractor as value engineering.
Redvale Landfill Access Road. 1 km of private road constructed for heavy traffic and including a bridge designed to HN-HO-72. Construction Value $1.2 million. Keith’s role – Design Manager / Engineer to Contract.
Vector Tunnel. A technically challenging 3m diameter, 9.2km long service tunnel from Penrose to Auckland. Construction Value (civil component) $95 million. Keith’s role – Design Manager / Engineer to Contract.
Upolu Roads, Western Samoa. Design/build of 23 km of rural and coastal roads. Construction Value $10.5 million. Keith’s role – Design Manager.
Tauranga CBD Pavement Reconstruction – 4 km of road reconstruction in the Tauranga CBD. Construction Value $600,000. Keith’s role – Design Manager / Engineer to Contract.
Keith has a detailed knowledge of design/build projects commencing with the Upolu Roads project in Western Samoa in 1994/1995 where Keith was the design project manager for 23km of roads working for McConnell Dowell in an ADB funded design/build contract. This project involved design of major culverts, extensive coastal protection works and double gabion faced reinforced embankments up to 10m high and was the recipient of the NZ Contractor’s Federation “Most Outstanding Construction Project of the Year” award in 1996.
Keith is a Director and his responsibilities also including managing Tonkin & Taylor’s Civil Group.
