Marje specialises in environmental and sustainable management for business. She has academic qualifications in zoology and resource management and is professionally qualified as a Planner and Senior Auditor. Marje brings over 25 years experience to assist companies to manage environmental regulatory compliance and risks, and to maximise the value their organisations create by implementing environmentally sound and sustainable business strategies and management practices. She provides a range of services, including environmental auditing and assurance, developing environmental and integrated management systems and business strategies and environmental labelling.

Marje’s background includes regional and state government water resources and environmental management in New Zealand and Australia, environmental certification and environmental consulting in the United Kingdom and New Zealand. In the 1990s Marje established and managed New Zealand’s first accredited certification programme for ISO 14001 environmental management systems for Telarc New Zealand and she managed New Zealand’s environmental labelling programme, Environmental Choice New Zealand. She is an experienced trainer and coach, having developed and presented formal public environmental auditing training programmes and inhouse training for a wide range of organisations.
