Simonne is a Senior Environmental Engineering Consultant with over sixteen years experience in the planning, design and construction of civil and environmental projects in the United Kingdom, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and New Zealand. She joined Tonkin & Taylor in 2005 having spent the previous nine years in Hong Kong, the last seven years of which as the Landfill Engineering Manager for an international solid waste management contractor.

Simonne specializes in all aspects of solid waste management including transfer stations, landfill planning, design, construction, operation, restoration and aftercare, landfill gas management systems and leachate treatment. Since joining T&T in 2005, Simonne has provided technical expertise and project management in New Zealand, Australia and Asia for resource consent applications, detailed design of landfill developments, optimisation of landfill liner systems, landfill gas management systems and leachate management systems and preparation of advisory documents for government departments.
