A key consultancy in the Philippines, EDCOP, is acquired.

When John Hood takes up the prestigious appointment of Vice Chancellor at Oxford University, he is succeeded as External Chairperson by Bill Thurston, previously Managing Partner of Bell Gully.

As the company goes from strength to strength there is a significant growth in staff numbers and the Auckland office moves from Morgan Street to new premises in Carlton Gore Road, Newmarket.

Peter Millar is appointed Managing Director of the T&T Group in 2005, following the retirement of Terry Kayes from the Managing Director role.

Chadwick Geotechnical Services, located in Melbourne, Australia is purchased in July 2006 and is rebranded as Chadwick T&T.

Peter retires from the Managing Director role in 2010 having lead the organisation through its 50th year celebrations in 2009.

In May 2010, due to the continuing growth of the organisation, the Managing Director role is divided into two positions. Doug Johnson is appointed to the position of Managing Director - New Zealand. Tony Kortegast is appointed to the position of Managing Director - International. Bill Thurston stands down from his role as External Chairperson of Tonkin & Taylor and is suceeded by Dr Lester Levy, Chief Executive of the New Zealand Leadership Institute at the University of Auckland and Professor (Adjunct) of Leadership at the University of Auckland Business School.

The Australian operation is restructured In May 2010 to become Tonkin & Taylor Pty Ltd (professional consulting services) and Chadwick T&T (site investigations, drilling, pavement and geotechnical testing services).
